Good Grief!! I have completely neglected this sales blog!!! With the heat index nearing 100 degrees today I decided to sit down with the laptop and get busy organizing my blogs!!

I have added pages just below the main picture to help direct individuals sneaking particular animals or even wool. Please click on the page that sparks your interest!

It is my hope and desire to add more pages for products that will be produced here in the future!

I would love to hear feed back on those of you who are reading it for suggestions or if you like it!

September Sales Update 2010

I have added some Shetland ewes and wethers to my sales list. All of the Shetlands are current on shots and worming. My prices are very fair due to my desire and need to trim down numbers for the winter. If you are interested in any of the Shetlands please contact me and I will answer any questions you have.

This is Harvest Thyme Pumpkin. She is a 2 year old single ewe out of Harvest Thyme Abigail (fawn kat) and Lil' Country Acres Jedidiah (blk gully). She is very petite and shy. I have not registered her yet as I still am trying to figure out her color? She has an adorable face, nice little tail, and her fleece is coming in nicely this year and she is carrying the polled gene from Jed:)

Harvest Thyme Susanna

Susanna is a 2 year old single ewe out of Lil'Country Acres Eliza (fawn kat) and Lil'Country Acres Jedidiah. She is very shy, petite, and extremely single coated like Jedidiah. Her fleece is very soft with a nice crimp, unfortunately, trying to get a picture of that is quite challenaging! If you like single coated Shetlands, she is definitely your ewe and she is carrying the polled gene from Jed!

Lil'Country Acres Polly

Polly is a 2004 black smirslet ewe. She is gentle Shetland and a very good mother! In 2009 she had black ram lamb and a black gully ewe and in 2008 had a very flashy moorit, flecket, yuglet ram lamb. She would be a wonderful addition to a Shetland flock. I am retaining her black gully ewe lamb and therefore I am offering her for sale.

This one year old, big white spot wether is actually a favorite of mine and I can't believe I am offering him for sale! I have not named him because if I do, he is staying! He is very friendly, loves chin rubs, and has a very nice fleece. He was just wethered a few months ago as his one horn just did not take the right turn. This horn will need to be trimmed occassionally. He is small, no more than 60 lbs. He would make a fantastic addition to a spinner's flock!

Harvest Thyme Sweet Annie

Annie is the spittin' image of her mom, Sheltering Pines Spirit! Her sire is Jedidiah. How exciting to see spots and know there is a polled gene in there! Annie's fleece is coming in nicely this year and she is working on her shyness! She is a 2008 single ewe and is ready to be bred this year. Her dam has never given me anything but spots and I just know Annie will do the same!

Fall Garden Show

It has been a long week for me so I thought I would do a little "pick me" blog to make me smile and I thought some of my Fall Flowers might bring a smile to those reading also.

So, "Welcome" to my Fall Flower show............

A burst of crimson mums in my front yard garden.

Fall blooming garden asters in the picket garden................

.......and of course smiling sunflowers, a picture that I took this past weekend actually.

Today we had a rainstorm that brought in some humidity then cooling temps. The window green house had collected dew along the panes giving the garden mum and pumpkin inside a "homey" feeling look:)

And always bringing a smile to my face is a fun pair of garden boots........who can resist flowers on rain boots? I can't. I admit, I have an issue with boots, well actually its an issue with shoes in general. Well, my issue is with the stores who stock this stuff on their shelves. Why would TSC put something this cute next to Muck Boots? Okay, so why was I even looking at Muck Boots? I already have a pair but I want the tall Muck Chore Boots for winter. I compromised, however, and bought the flower boots as a "transitional" pair of boots between Fall and Winter. See, I feel much better now:)

Quick Sales Update

I have reduced the prices on the ewes. I will be adding more ewes for sale hopefully by this weekend. All of the ewes are ready to be bred and are healthy. I need to reduce my numbers by the end of October. All of ewes are out of good breeding stock. Please drop me a note if you have any questions.

Lil' Country Acres Jedediah Smith

Jed is a 3 year old smooth polled black gulmoget ram out of Lil'Country Acres Octavian. Jed is truly my pride and joy! He is an outstanding ram in all aspects: fleece, tail, straight legs, and the BEST personality!!!! He is such a gentleman!

Why then am I selling him? Because I am stuck in my flock with his off-spring. Too much is related to him and I honestly believe he could benefit a large flock of Shetlands esp. someone who is looking for polled genetics and single coated fleeces. Jed has also produced some nice spotted ewes/rams including twin blk gullie ewes! I will never be a big time Shetland breeder and keeping him here with a small flock is just not going to benefit polled Shetlands. I would like him to be where he is appreicated for all he has to offer. I think personally, that this is one of Julianne's best produced polled rams and if I can say I had him first that is good for me;)

This fleece shot does not do any justice to Jed's fleece but black and super crimped fleece is so hard to photograph!!! Believe me when I say, its so nice!!!

Harvest Thyme Jasper

Jasper is a Jed son and is the spitting image of him in every aspect other than he is a solid black ram. His dam is Harvest Thyme Sally Ann, a fawn kat ewe (see ewes for sale). Jasper is just so mellow and laid back. Isn't he a handsome guy?

I have not used Jasper in any of my breedings as he is too closely related to my ewes, adults and yearlings. I have no doubt that he will be an outstanding producer of polled and single coated Shetlands.

Both of these rams are just wonderful! I have liked the way Jed, as a single coated ram with a great tail, has improved the fleece quality on some of the spotted ewes offspring and has helped with the tails on the spotted off-spring also.

I can send additional pictures of these guys if requested. They are truly both wonderful stewards for the Shetland breed!!!

Miss Sally is out of Lil'Country Eliza(fawn kat) and Windswept Yankee (mioget,yuglet,sokket ram). She is twin ewe. She has consistently had one of the nicest fleeces in my flock AND as for polled genetics.......she is your ewe!!! In 2 breedings, she has produced 2 smooth polled rams when bred to Jed., a smooth polled blk gullie. She is shy but all of her other positives make up for it!!!

Lil'Country Acres Eliza Jane

If your looking to add some nice, natural moorit fleece to your fiber hobby, this little wether is perfect! He is a friendly little guy, only about 55 lbs as a yearling and therefore is perfect as a fiber pet on small acres. He could also make a nice 4-H project for a youngster;)

Sheltering Pines Spirit's Twin Ram Lambs 2009

In 2005 I was thrilled to purchase one of Sheltering Pines ewe lambs, one that happened to be out of Stephen's "Hildegard", a ewe I had admired for her beautiful spotted lambs. True to her dam, "Spirit" is producing beautiful, spotted lambs also!

Pictured above is Spirit with her ewe lamb last year......gee, can you see the family resemblance?

These are Spirit's twin ram lambs this year!!!!! I love spots on Shetland sheep!

How much better does it get? This beautiful ram lamb was very minimal scur growth and is really turning out to be stunning; not too mention he is very well-mannered and loves to come right up for a chin scratch.

This ram lamb will have large scurs and a wonderful tail for a spotted boy! His fleece is extremely soft also.

Harvest Thyme Abigail's Stunning Ram Lamb 2009!

I will not lie when I tell you Abigail is my favorite ewe! Abby is a twin fawn kat out of Lil'Country Acres Eliza Jane x Windswept Yankee, a mioget, yuglet flecket ram. Abby is my soul mate in the barn, she is the one who always makes me sit down with her and just relax. Last year she had a single ewe lamb and this year she produced this extraordinary ram lamb with Jammer!

This little guy was the largest lamb born this year and he still is the largest lamb! I nearly fainted when I saw this boy laying next to Abby when I came home from school.......first the markings and then his size! He has my favorite fleece, soft, wavy, exactly what I want!!

There are no butts about it (and it is a cute butt at that:)..................

..........this ram lamb is staying right here with me!!!!

Let me introduce a future flock sire....."Harvest Thyme Rutland"!!

Windswept Savannah Grace's Twin Lambs 2009

Windswept Savannah Grace is the most stunning mioget ewe! Heather at Windswept said she could have sold her a hundred times over so I am so pleased to have gotten her first!

This year Savannah produced twin lambs, ewe and a ram lamb when bred to Harvest Thyme Jammer.

They are a beautiful Shetland family! The ram lamb is pictured in front.

This ram lamb (above) will be a slightly scurred ram, as of today, he has less than 1/2 inch growth. Of all the ram lambs produced this year, he has the most exquiste, single coated fleece. The crimp on it is incredible and to mention the wonderful color like this dam!

These 2 pictures are Savannah's ewe lamb. She will be a lighter moorit color unlike her mioget twin brother. However, she will be carrying the modified gene and she is going to be beautiful just like her dam! This ewe, though solid in color, is also carrying the spotting gene as her sire Jammer is a yuglet, flecket.

Sally Ann is a twin fawn kat. ewe out of Lil' Country Eliza Jane x Windswept Yankee, a mioget sokket yuglet ram. Last year Sally Ann produced a single, black smooth polled ram. This year she doubled up and produced these handsome boys. Their sire is Harvest Thyme Jammer Thyme, a moorit, yuglet flecket ram (who is also out of my smooth polled ram).

This few spot moorit ram lamb is compact in size but is just showing wonderful confirmation potential and not too mention he has very small button scurs. He loves talking to anybody who will listen to him out in the pasture!!
